WCRF is thrilled to announce the grand opening of our new public health clinic at our community center! In collaboration with Charley’s Angels, a family of medical professionals and educators who made the trip to Nicaragua solely to get a clinic up and running, we have been able to establish a clinic that provides basic medical services to a community that had extremely limited access to health care.

The clinic addresses patient needs from blood pressure and blood sugar monitoring, to IV injections and stitches, as well as prescription medicine for infections and other illnesses. It’s a huge benefit to the community because it serves people in their greatest need when nothing else is available. In addition to Calle Real, it’s the only public clinic accessible to several other communities, serving over 500 families.
