Because of the dire economic situation in Nicaragua, WCRF has started an emergency food relief effort. Our effort  consists of two parts:

1. We are buying in bulk  basic food staples such as rice and beans. Staples are being sold at the community center at cost to those who have some form of income.
2. The Community Council now has identified those families suffering from food shortages in each of the 9 barrios. Food packets will be delivered this week.
