Landi Hawker

The best part of being able to go to Nicaragua was being able to serve the AMAZING people in the community. I was able to learn so much from them. They were always so happy and that would make my day. Some of the highlights of the trip was being able to make and give the hygiene bags to the community. Each person that we gave them to was incredibly grateful to receive one. Another incredible experience was working with the special needs. We were able to visit different children throughout the community and we played with them, gave them activities and toys to play with. The whole experience was so hands on and so much fun. Lastly, being able to go the the school and play with the kids was so much fun. I loved every moment of being able to spend time with them. That quickly became something I looked forward to while I was there. Every time we would walk into the school yard they would surround you and wanted to play with you. The trip was one that I was able to make incredible memories with the people that we came with and with the people in the community!
