Even though the political situation in Nicaragua remains divisive, incidents  of protesters clashing with police has diminished. Most of the flareups and violence has occurred in the inner city of Managua. Transportation has greatly improved as the blockades on the main highways and in the cities have been removed. There are hopes that the dialogue between government, business, students, and the clergy will move forward in a peaceful manner.
