Safe drinking water for the people of La Calle Real has been a real concern of Worldwide Child Relief. We were able to get help from the Bright Water Foundation. “The Bright Water Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation with an ambitious goal: to eliminate water-borne disease worldwide.” (quoted from their website)

 

James Stark, Vice President of Bright Water Foundation, made a trip to La Calle Real and taught a few local people to test their drinking water for harmful bacteria. Jim followed up with instructions on how to make it safe for the people. Jim is making a trip in June to initiate a 3 year plan to test and treat water in the area.
