The Rotary Club of Cameron Park approved special funding to construct the first Playground and Volleyball/Sports Court in the impoverished town of La Calle Real, Nicaragua. This will be built on land located behind the community center. This has been a long sought after dream of the community leaders to further enhance the community center as a gathering place

for the people of LCR. Rotarian Dave Sargent made the proposal presentation in early November 2019 to CP Rotary Board of Directors. The C.P. Rotary Club will send a task force to start the project in late May or early June of 2020.
